Check out my workNetwork ~ Linkedin ~ Medium

Contact me for me information gal@galagmon.com

I am Gal Agmon,an artist-researcher, designer, and photographer with over a decade of experience in qualitative research and visual communication. Specialized in the intersection of technology and ethics.

Throughout my practice, I am driven by the ethical complexities of documenting individuals in private spaces and translating lived experience into a collective archive that questions societal norms and the status quo.

Since 2022, my photography has focused on a four-year longitudinal study of millennial parenthood, combining interviews with environmental portraiture. This work was deepened during an Artist-in-Residence at Casa Tagumerche and a Magnum Photos workshop “On portraiture” with Olivia Arthur. The project “If & Why” was developed alongside my own journey; after freezing my eggs at 32, I realized I was "freezing" my most burning questions. I didn’t yet know if or why I wanted children, only that society expected it of me.

In 2023, I strated galag ~ design for social impact because I belive design can make a difference in the world. Partnering with visionary teams and organizations such as the Netherlands Red Cross, Imagination of Things Studio, and Basecamp Research. I hold a B.Des in Visual Communication from Bezalel Academy and lead global user research for the Netherlands Red Cross, gathering community insights in high-risk environments. Previously, as Design Lead at Grip Fertility, I researched the emotional pressures of reproductive choices, bridging the gap between clinical data and human experience.

I’ve led user research, product strategy, and design for a variety of initiatives, from early-stage health tech startups to large Silicon Valley enterprises. Most recently, I’ve focused on climate resilience and humanitarian aid, collaborating with organizations such as the Red Cross and the UN.

~How do I work? With strong opinions loosely held, I value being challenged by my colleagues and thrive on collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. My creativity comes from interacting with users—their needs and insights are my primary source of inspiration.

In my day-to-day, I move between product strategy, UX research, and UI design. I see product design as shaping every aspect of an experience—its purpose, look, and feel. I’m passionate about solving real user problems and weaving art and aesthetics into user-friendly solutions.

I’ve designed for both B2B and B2C, across mobile and web. Enterprise users often demand speed and efficiency, with a tolerance for a learning curve, while consumer users seek quick rewards and ongoing engagement. In either case, I’m always an advocate for the user’s needs.
My process changes per project, but here is the rough idea:
~ Understand the problem space Surveys, interviews, dig into past data, gap analysis, competitor analysis...
~ Explore high-level ideas Hold workshops, review with my engineering team, sketching sessions, concept testing...
~ Scope the ideas Brainstorm alternatives, MoSCoW, dot voting, stakeholder review...
~ Detail the design Flows, wireframes, IA, test different solutions, componentizing UI...
~ Test and release Review PR, QA, test the data...

My trick, I am a huge documentation fan; I always have my documentation public and constantly update, share it often, and collect feedback not only on the design but also on the clarity of the handover documents.

~
What am I looking for? I am a passionate person. I am looking for organizations and products that I can dedicate all this passion for creating great user experiences. I need to relate to the companies’ mission, and hopefully join forces with teams that makes the world just a bit better for all of us.

I love communicating design ideas and thinking with designers and especially non-designers. I am a huge advocate for exposing designs in the organization and with the rest of the world.
